Mike Helmke knows he’s not going out on his own terms. He says he was ‘deeply disappointed’ in losing a bid for a third four-year term as Sheboygan County sheriff in November, and has been spending the past few weeks packing up his belongings and working on the transition to the new sheriff, Todd Priebe, who takes office on Monday.
