Do You Prefer College Football Or Pro Football? ?

If so, what are your favorite teams?
Football is my favorite sport. I prefer pro football but I also dig college football. My favorite pro team is the Green Bay Packers and my favorite college team is the Wisconsin Badgers.

Oh it’s all about college football. More excitement, more trick plays, more big plays, and you get to see guys who aren’t playing for millions of dollars or going home to gigantic mansions after the game. These are guys who are playing their hearts out and after the game are going back to their dorms to study. Pro football is cool, but it seems a little too stiff. I’m from New York and ever since I was a kid I was a Jets fan. For college football I have to root for my alma mater, the UConn Huskies. Yeah, last weekend was not a good one. I think it’s time for me to give up on Huskie football and start looking forward to basketball season.

    I’m such a goober….
I love my COLTS and have gone to tons of games at the former RCA dome in Indy since they came to Indy in the dead of winter from Baltimore years ago.
I will watch a good college game, mostly Indiana teams, Notre Dame, Purdue, and Ball State(which is going to KICK A** this year!)…..
But I’m always and forever a die heart COLTS man!

Love ‘em both. If I had to pick only one to watch, I’d say pro because of the higher skill levels of the players and the intricacies of the game. The team rosters change a lot less year to year and you can follow your favorite players longer.
College games are great too tho. I wish the NCAA would adopt a playoff system, but you gotta like the greater enthusiasm of the players, as well as the crowds. My interest peaks when the conference championships and then the bowl games start. But usually there are several good games every Saturday.

You must be from Wisconsin. What a coincidence? I’m from Louisiana and my favorite college team is LSU and my favorite pro team is the Saints. I prefer college football because it is more competitive and you don’t have millionaires whining about turf toe.

I only follow professional football. I’m a Patriots fan, have been since birth.
The only college team I have ever followed is the Rhode Island Rams, a Division 1-A team. They have probably won 5 games in 4 years… but I went to every home game and a couple on the road.

i was always a pro fan before college……that was until i was a college student….im a senior at penn state, and being a season student ticked holder, and love the environment there….but i still do like my kansas city chiefs more than psu…..although our chiefs are beyond terrible this season i will stick with them through the best and worst of times…….what a concidence…..we play your badgers next week…..should be a good game…..we never go into camp-randell and win….even though we are ranked 6 and u are unranked, i am still worried about this game because he have a hard time on the road and you guys are usually good at home…and what is even more odd is i will be in madison next week to watch the game because 2 of my friends that went to psu are at wiscy for grad school…cant wait to see what your stadium is like….i heard its just as good as ours
    good luck next week

I used to prefer College to Pro, but each year as the money the schools and the NCAA get from college games increases, it gets glitzier and less about actual football.
Fortunately, there’s always HS games… for now, anyway.

College is better. In the pros everyone runs a similar offense and all the players are highly skilled so there is only limited competition. But in college you get a variety of offenses and a tradition that is unmatched in the pros.

NFL by far. Use to also enjoy college but since the inception of the BCS formula division 1 is a joke. It is past time that D-1 joins the rest of the NCAA and has an actual playoff system before crowing a national champ.

pro football.mostly because college football has over 100 teams, and their always transitioning junior and seniors.
and, the pros just play the game better and its a lot more exciting.
    …..best answer please……

College because I enjoy the traditions and rivalries and even though it has flaws…it just entertains me more than the NFL.
    College favorite: LSU
NFL Favorite: New Orleans (Where’s John Carney, damn it!?)

I’ve always preferred college. You get to see more diverse offenses and defenses. Plus, the rivalries add something to the sport IMO.

im going with college. its all about playing for the guy next to you and i love that. i play college football myself and i would lay my exhausted body on the line for any one of my brothers

  14. thehooch on Tue, 22nd Dec 2009 7:35 pm

College. It’s less about money (for the players) and more about heart. Each game counts, and each year there is new talent. Tennessee Vols are my team. Nice bowl game by Wisconsin last year, by the way ;)

college .. and when there is a playoff system it will be even better . the BCS hurt the value of the game and who the champion is.. some roads to a championship is easier than others….

  16. Tim on Tue, 22nd Dec 2009 9:09 pm

College more passion and every week means something. If you lose one week in college you could be out of the title hunt, the same isn’t said for the NFL.

  17. Where's the love? on Tue, 22nd Dec 2009 9:49 pm

NFL -best players, true championship, Pittsburgh Steelers.

  19. met on Tue, 22nd Dec 2009 11:08 pm

pro football. college only flaw i think is the BCS standings and bowl games a team can go unbeaten but no championship game where the playoffs?

  20. god of Answers on Tue, 22nd Dec 2009 11:28 pm

  23. The Celtic Viking on Wed, 23rd Dec 2009 1:13 am

    college because of the excitement

  24. TT on Wed, 23rd Dec 2009 2:04 am

    College. Fresno State.
I think the college kids play harder and have more to lose. I don’t like the BCS though.
