Green Bay City Guide

Dallas Vs. Green Bay On Thanksgiving…….?

Romo agianst his idol Favre it might not be Payton vs. Brady but it is a young version of Brett who will do anything to win agianst the man himself do you think Romo can prevail or will Brett teach him a couple more leasons………….
My prediction
Dallas 32 Green Bay 27
Romo 23/37 295 yards 2 td’s 1 int
Favre 19/33 267 yards 3 td’s 1 int
I say the results will be very close to the same……..

For one thing, your stats are a bit inaccurate. Now, I don’t know how well Favre will play or anything, but there is a good chance he will get 300+ yards. Think about it, Dallas is a high scoring team. Green Bay is a passing team. With some scoring on Dallas’ part, Green Bay will be throwing the ball as much as ever. 33 attempts by Favre will probably be too low.
As for the prediction, it’s a tough one. I truly believe that both teams are relativly equal. Green Bay is great at staying in the games and making big plays to win. Dallas is great at putting points on the board and they have a decent defense to back them up. THe toughest part about this game for Green Bay is that it will be at Texas Stadium. Favre has never won at Texas Stadium, and although the past is the past, you have to consider what homefield advantage gives to powerhouses like Dallas. It will be a good game most of us will unfortunently not be able to see :/
Since I am a Packer fan, I’m taking my Packers over Dallas 27-24. In light of your statistical predictions I am going as follows
    Brett Favre 27/41 342 yards 3 Tds 1 int
    Romo 19/31 284 yards 2 tds 1 int.

How much did Jerry have to pay to have this game in Dallas?
In Dallas they will win, in the elements it would be a much better game. A Thursday night Jerry Jones special, brought to you by Jerry Jones, starring Jerry Jones and all profits go to benefit Jerry Jones. Dallas wins, TO gets hurt and is out 4 weeks all Dallas losses.

Dallas is a good team but keep in mind that this is Brett Favre’s season. Green Bay won nearly all their games within 7 points or less. Their wins are ugly, but in the end, Green Bay have more will power since this can very well be Brett Favre’s last season.

    Green Bay 28

I’ll have to say Dallas, Green Bay is just too one dimensional on offense. Should be a heck of a game though.

It will be a great game for sure. I think it will be close but I think Green Bay will come out on top.

if they both stay healthy until then and don’t lose that should be the nfc version of the patriots vs colts . right now i give it to the cowboys because they’re in dallas and because the cowboys play better on thanksgiving . this kinda brings back memories of their showdowns in the early to middle 90′s !!!!

actually, they play the week after thanksgiving. packers play the lions on thanksgiving. as far as the performance, i guarantee you Favre will have well over 300 yards in the game, like he usually does. at that point in time, the packers running game will probably be averaging more, probably 70 yards a game, better than the current 50. since dallas likes to stop the run, and hates defending the pass, the Packers will surely air it out. i predict a high scoring game by both teams, being rather close, very close. seeing that Dallas has the definite advantage of being home though, i see Dallas winning this one. both romo and favre will have good performances.
    Green Bay- 34
    Dallas- 38

    Here is a better idea.
    Army vs Navy on Thanksgiving.
The Lions vs Bears in the second oldest rivalry in the NFL.
    Washington vs Dallas as well.
college football is the best sport ever.
    Roll Tide!

Well.. Favre is pretty much the best quarterback ever and no one can do anything against the Packer’s defense, so I’m gonna say
    Pack: 42
    Cowboys: 3
PAcker fan but I am also not biased

Green Bay plays Detroit on Thanksgiving Day

  16. asigone on Fri, 27th Nov 2009 2:04 pm

i say most of the country won’t see it, since it will be on the NFL network and cable was too punkish to sign any deal with the NFL, so they signed with satellite.

Its going to be an interesting matchup…
I agree with your prediction that Dallas will win

Wake up son. The Packers play the Lions on Thanksgiving.

  19. Chuck Cecil on Fri, 27th Nov 2009 3:07 pm

Favre will throw an interception in field goal range with time running out. Rhomo will fumble the ball they will tie because they got sick eating Maddens Chernobyl turkey. Who cares the NFC will still only be seventh best in the NFL.

Just hope Dallas doesn’t make Farve cry on thanksgiving!
